Friend filed police complaint regarding somethings missing after party

One friend of mine has filed a written complaint to police on the regarding some things which have been missing after a party that we did together. Now the police is calling us what can be the consequences of the same?
If am not wrong then your friend has filed a case of theft. Please co-operate with the police authorities and show that you are ready to cooperate rather than running away from the situation which would worsen the case.

If he has filed a complaint before SHO, the Investigating Officer can call you for enquiry but be careful and check that whether any FIR is lodged against you or not.
