Fraud Lawyer in Mumbai Area - Cheating Clients

A Mumbai based female lawyer took fees in cash and then kept evading deliverable and when pursued for reply and details of services provided threatens harassment. How to handle such fraud lawyers extorting money by exploiting vulnerability of client.

Well, first of all, you have to figure out - Whether she is a genuine lawyer or a fake lawyer who played fraud with you. If she is a fake lawyer, lodge a Police Complaint against him and get a FIR registered against that fraud lawyer. If she is a genuine lawyer who did not provide you services despite receiving full fees from your end to intentionally play fraud with you, to cheat you, then, you can lodge a case against her on the ground of Professional Misconduct before the concerned Bar Council under Sec 35 of the Advocates Act, 1961.
