Filing of Police report for Kidnapping

For the past 8 years in Assam, my wife and her mother have kept my 12-year-old minor daughter away from me on purpose and without apparent cause. Can I file FIR? DO NOT CALL, RESPOND BY WHATSAPP

Dear Sir, You cannot file Police complaint after so many years. However you can file permanent child custody case and claim the child since you seems to be more concerned with the child and welfare of the child.  Landmark Judgement pronounced by SC dealing with guardianship & custodial and visitation rights to parents and children stuck in matrimonial disputes
