false complaint filed against under section 498a & dowry

I am a student and live with my mom. I had lost my father in July 2017. My brother is married in May 2011 with my close relative daughter and her sister already living with us from 2005 to 2013 because she married my cousin and my cousin living with us. My family never taken any penny of dowry because we are against it. My brother wife living with her father due to completion of studies. She resides with us only 5 month after death of my father and file false fir. So please suggest what we do? I am so scared.

Don't be scared. All you need to do is to either go and talk to the girl who file that FIR, if anything materializes then good otherwise opt for filing a petition under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 for quashing of the abovementioned F.I.R. the proceedings will continue and if you are able to prove your innocence in the court of law then, the said FIR will be quashed thereafter you can also file a civil suit for malicious prosecution or criminal defamation under section 499 of Indian Penal Code, 1860.

You can just get your bill before the court if it is a fake case then there is only way to file application under section 482 of CRPC for quashing the FIR for further detailed discussion just contact us

My dear You don't explain what charges she puts on you or your family without knowing the charges how can I help you so kindly suggest you to pls explain your matter in full details with charges and pls don't worry if you are innocent no one will trap you.
