My wife's brother wife filed 498 a case against husband, mother in law, my wife and me. During police investigation me and my wife dropped from chargesheet. Now may i file defamation case against her ?
Hello, your wife bothers wife gave your and her sister in law name in 498A complaint against you and while investigation police finds you and your wife innocent on that basis police removed your name from chargesheet. This proves that you were implicated by her falsely to defame and harass you all. You can certainly file defamation case against her.

On the basis of non inclusion of yourself and your wife from the charge sheet, you can file defamation case both Civil and Criminal Cases. In Civil Case you can claim compensation or damages for loss of social reputation. Further you can file criminal case of defamation which may ends in conviction of such complainant who lodged false complaint.
