Fake FIR has been filed against me do I have to apply for the bail?

20-Jan-2023 (In Criminal Law)

An FIR has been filled against me for misbehaviour, which was a false FIR , and it was clearly visible in the recoeded CCTV footage. and after that I have been called by local PS. and after visiting the local PS, I told them the entire incident, after hearing the whole story i have been asked to leave after taking a personal bail which has been given by my friend in a plain paper. 1. Do i need to follow any legal procedure and what will happen if I dont follow up with the local PS regarding this FIR and bail ? 2. Is there will be any chance of legal obligation on me in near furure ?

You have not metioned the sections slapped in the FIR. If the offence is bailable you are not required to file anticipatory bail application. I'm n non bailable offence you are required to file anticipatory bail application even though the said FIR is false. You are to face the police and court once FIR is lodged. That's the procedure.

Dear Concerned,

First of all, you should preserve the video recording. Secondly, you should keep in touch with the investigation and join the same as and when called upon by the IO. For further consultation, you may approach Lawrato network.

hand over the cctv footage to police upon a proper receiving. Police will keep you informed about the necessary developments. try to settle the matter with the complainant. else you may be entangled in unnecessary litigation.
