Digital signature - prevention of misuse
26-Mar-2025 (In Criminal Law)
My CA who was dealing with my income tax matter said that he is preparing my digital signature (DSC) since it is needed to settle the matter. DSC custody was with him for 1 week. I contacted IT officer directly and the matter got settled without any need for DSC. I have sent an email to the DSC issuing authority to revoke my DSC. How can I know if my CA had used my DSC ? My revoked DSC is still with CA, can he misuse it? How can I protect myself in case he had used my DSC for wrong purposes?
you can send legal notice to your CA and asked him about returning of yoe DSC and you can also file intimation letter in your local police station regarding your DSC custody and Uses of your DSC. if he denied for return them you can file a complaint in your local police station
Thank you

Dear Client
First and foremost, sent a Legal Notice to your CA, revoking any/all rights given to him to use your Digital Signature, creating a paper trial stating revocation of any rights given is crucial. For a further precaution, you may also issue a public publicatoin stating the same.
Please feel free to get in touch to discuss further.
