Death threat and defame by my neighbour. Creating issue so that they d

My neighbour is defaming me with her brother in law and threatning me to hit and kill me. I have already written a application and in the police station yesterday. I want to know what action will the police take and within how many hours. If in case police don't take any action what should I do

If you have already filed your complaint in writing for registration of FIR against the culprits and the police officials are not taking any legal action against them then you can always approach the court and file an application under section 156(3) CrPC for registration of FIR.

You have already given your application/ complaint to your neares police station that should work in your favor. However, if the police do not act upon your complaint within a week, then you can write down to the S.P. or S.S.P of that place regarding the same issue. Even if they do not act upon your complaints, then you can move your complaint before the magistrate of the jurisdiction.

We had already registered fir in 420 in one police station against accused property seller for cheating but police done nothing. Now can we file another fir in 467 and 468 in another police station where signature forgery happened in sub registrar office against same accused, sub registrar and other beneficiaries?? I want to know that another fir is legal or can be quashed by the accused lawyer in future??

Do seek a legal assistance from an Advocate and proceed as per his advise. Do get a police complaint filed through him and follow up for the FIR. In case the police does not take any action upon the complaint do file a petition through an Advocate under section 156 (3) for seeking directions for registration of FIR
