I am aware that parents cooked up my birth date so I could qualify for an exam. When I submitted passport application, I used cooked up birth date. Birth Certificate has cooked up date but I have confessed the cooking up of birth date in an email to someone and email has reached passport office as complaint . This is almost 2.5 year younger from my real birthdate. So does this mean that I will be punished for knowingly suppressed material fact or provided false information ?

hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, suppressing information of the actual birthdate and furnishing the same for a passport application is a criminal offence in itself, you can contact me for further clarifications

when you have given a some false details before any authority recording your date of birth or identity it is a crime under Indian laws if they are proceed against for the crime then you should face the consequences according to law
