Criminal complaint against someone for harassment and torture.

When I was travelling on my bike one of my senior colleagues stopped me and harrassed me for no reason. He slapped me for stepping away. I don't want to go directly to a police station. I have plans to hire a good lawyer who can help to file a complaint in the police station and I want to file a case in court. What's the best solution for me?
