Converstion of Writ to application

Is there any provision of pre-poning of listing date?nI filed Writ Petition in Allahabad High Court but listing has come after 3 month. In this case can I get converted by Writ to Application(Case Type) during listing phase itself to get early date. Converstion from Writ to Applicaton needed as another case got order in 2 months whereas in my case from the time of filing Writ to listing itself has taken 7 months. Besides this, it also creates dependency of my other(main) case running in district court.
