Chutfund cheating by owner may affect staff?

Chitfund fraud by owner may affect staff my husband worked for 28 yrs in a chut fund now he relieved in aug 2021. His owner misuse the customer money and he is also get deposit from public upto 3 crore and misuse that money also my husband only collect chitfund money and handover to his owner criminal case affect my husband?
As far as the customers are concerned they can identify your husband who had collected and to whom money was given. It is possible that he may be dragged into the criminality. However he was just a collection agent and he has to prove that he has nothing to do with the cheating committed by the chit fund owner.
