Cheated by a guy on marriage pretext

06-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I was in a relationship(from 2015-2020) with a guy in Bengaluru, who had promised me for marriage. On 3rd March 2020, I got to know that he is already married. Also learnt that he faked his job and earnings to get married. He told his in-laws my job role and salary. Gradually came to know that he told all his friends, roommates and his family that I was forcefully in a relationship with him. And here, he had told me, my family and friends that his family is not agreeing to our marriage on caste grounds, but he his trying hard to convince them(past 2.5 years) and eventually he will convince them or start co-living with me 100% by this year, rather than spending just weekends. We were in a completely married kind of relationship. So my family stopped looking for my matrimony prospects. I would like to know if I can take any legal step now, bcuz I needed time to get out of the shock state and then lockdown? Is my case strong enough to get any kind of justice?
