Is it mandatory for the Police to inform the accused after filing a charge sheet against him/her and a send a copy to him/her by the police?

No, it is not mandatory as such that Police should inform the accused that when they are going to file the Chargesheet. However, they have to file Chargesheet in the Court within a stipulated period of 60 days in cases triable by the Magistrate Court & within 90 days from the Date of Arrest respectively.
