dear mam, If it’s court case then you have to file superdari application in court and if it’s in Police Station then you can show your complaint to police and your id. Bill is also required but you can Try to negotiate with police if they agree without bill.

Since the police have arrested the accused and recovered part of the stolen gold, the next steps will involve the legal process. The melted gold recovered (13 grams) is less than your chain’s original weight (21 grams). Since you have a proper bill for the chain, it strengthens your claim for the full value. You should stay in close contact with the Investigating Officer (IO) to follow the case's progress. Once the court case proceeds, the melted gold will likely be produced as evidence. At the conclusion of the case, the court may order the return of the recovered gold to you. Regarding the difference in weight (8 grams), you can file a claim petition before the court during the trial or post-conviction, supported by your purchase bill, to seek compensation for the unrecovered portion of your chain. The court may direct the accused to compensate for the loss.
