caught stealing should i be worried

I was caught stealing in a supermarket when i was 16 i begged the owner to let me go and they let me go after signing on a piece of paper writing that i had stolen with my details, i returned the item valued around 100 rupees and let me go, he said that it will go to police almost 1.5 years have passed am i still in legal trouble?

Dear Sir, It is petty offence and you may compound the same and thus it will be closed. Otherwise approach High Court and see that the charge sheet if any filed against you for stolling an article worth of Rs One Hundred only and the High Court may show sympathy on you and quash the said criminal case which is no pending.
