Car rental company not giving our refundable deposit back. Gi

Rented a car and returned before deadline, adhered to all instructions by the provider. Deposit was to be refunded in 7 days but its been more than 15 days now. He is not returning our money and giving excuses of hospitalization and no funds. Is that acceptable?? How can I get the deposit back? No way to contact anyone else other than him.

Well, you can lodge a Police Complaint against that Service Provider, who has kept your Refundable Deposit in his custody. As there are high chances, he is giving you excuse with an intent to cheat. Make sure, you get your Complaint get converted into a FIR
