30-Jan-2024 (In Criminal Law)
Me and my ex we both agreed to just date for some years then we will breakup. In starting everything went normal but after sometime she started asking me will we get married. I never said yes, even never said that we will get married, i always said i dont know. Then she tried breaking up and said “i guess we dont want same things from our relationship.” things& got better. We nvr had sex after that. But for some time, she asked me again and again. And i said we will not marry. And broke up.

Yes she can accuse you about this but you can also defend your case in a court. If an FIR is registered, you may secure an anticipatory bail. The entire situation is dependent upon facts of your case and technical issues, if any.

It’s better you hire an advocate n move your apprehension before she implicated you in any false case. We need more information on your case to evaluate things from legal point of view. kindly be in touch to discuss and to understand the legalities in this regard. Thanks.

She can twist the version and file a case against you. However the chats and conversations between the two of you will be a good defence for you to come out of the case . It will not sustain in the court of law . There are many judgements by the Supreme Court and High Courts which support and protect citizens like you from being falsely accused of such kind of crimes.

First of all you will hire an advocate and told them the whole situation and they will help you provide better consultancy regarding that issue so soon as possible fix an appointment with an advocate and meet them and told them the whole facts of the situation clearly from the beginning

Sir, you need to understand that mere an alligation of sexual intercourse on the pretext of marriage may lead to lodging of an FIR under Sec. 376 IPC, i.e., Rape, which may very well put you behind bars. Though the evidences you are having will certainly help you during trial and bail proceedings. The question is whether you want to take that risk for her going to go ahead and lodged that FIR or you want to strengthen your case from the get go? You have options and solutions to your problem and for that you may consider consulting me. Good luck!
