You can absolutely do the case against him, but it is not enough to just threaten the phone, and there is something that seems to threaten you?
Do you have just call recording in Evidence? You can give an application to the SSP that you are being threatened and your life is in danger.

In the eyes of law, all are equal but there are certain procedural difference. Off course you can file a criminal complain against a crpf official. The only thing is that information will be given to his reporting officer before he is arrested. Also if evidence are strong his office can run an enquiry against him. Regards team lawyer mitra

Yes, You can. Threatening to kill is a punishable offence in our country. It is called intimidation to cause death and punishable under IPC 506 with upto Seven years of imprisonment. You can make a complaint to the local police station or, if the police is not lodging the complaint, you can approach the local court, under section 156 (3). Do a complaint to the higher Authorities of CRPF also.

Hii Sir. From your question it is clear that a person working in crpf is threatening your father with life and in this case you can file a conplaint case against that person before CJM and you can also lodge an FIR against that person. It is made clear that if he is threatening your father personally and the same does not have any connection with the discharge of his official duty you may directly file complaint case against him or lodge FIR against him otherwise if his act of threatening is concerned with his official duty then you will have to obtain prior sanction from his superior before filing a complaint or lodging FIR against him. I think his act of threatening your father is his personal act and the same does not have anything to do with the discharge of his official duty. Pls go ahead and lodge an FIR or complaint against him before CJM. ....regard.
