Can i file 497 on male who has sexual relationship with my wife?

When contacting police officers they are saying it's impossible to file a case against man who has ruined my life. I have 2 kids she left them and went to mother's home to continue the relationship!
Husband should understand two things one to give divorce or to adjust because today in Supreme Court adultery system removed moreover husband can take of children as she is in relation ship if not if he wants wife back should file a case RCR in family court
