Can court pronounce judgment without cross-examination?

20-Feb-2024 (In Criminal Law)
If accused gets NOC and need time for certified copies courts asks him to pay Rs 200 to witness if he does not pay to the witness court threatens to make cross-examination as nil. My question can court pronounce judgment without cross-examining the witness. Is the judgment considered valid?

Dear Sir, Yes, in many a cases the Advocate for defence purposefully give trouble to Courts by not cause examining the witness. If judgment is pronounced they will approach High Court and get remand the matter to the Trial Court again for cross examination saying that sufficient opportunity was not given.
