05-Dec-2023 (In Criminal Law)
My bail got rejected in Session Court and I have applied in High Court for anticipatory bail and my case is listed under cause list. Can police still arrest me? I am a Hindu.

Yes police can still arrest you. When you are praying for anticipatory bail at first you have to file for this before the high court. If the anticipatory bail is granted then police can not take you in custody.

Yes, police can arrest you as it is immaterial whether your anticipatory is pending before the High Court and listed in the cause list. You can save yourself if you can satisfy the Police that your bail application is pending before High Court through supportive documents.
Thanks.
