Can accused present material evidence under 315 CrPc?

14-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
315 CrPC reads as follows "shall be a competent witness for the defence and may give evidence on oath in disproof of the charges made against him". If I understood it correctly, accused can produce evidence such as documents and electronic evidence at 315 stage rather than waiting until 233 CrPC. Because 313 refers only to the circumstances against the accused and doesn't allow material evidence to disprove charges. Can I submit 315 application after completion of witnesses cross-examination.

Dear Sir, Yes, you can submit your application under Section 315 of Cr.P.C to lead your defence evidence. You can disprove the case of prosecution by bringing on record which can disprove the allegations made by the prosecution and also make it convenient for the Court to acquit you without any stigma.
