Can a 307 case be closed if witness does not appear in court

i have a case of ipc 307 on me in the juvenile court. Last week, i have my evidence file. But the witness did not show up. What is the further procedure? Can my case be closed if the witnesses doesn't show up?

If the witness does not appear the court will issue warrant to produce the witness and inspite of warrant the police do not produce the witness without any sufficient cause for non production then the court has power to drop the witness, but normally the the court will not drop witness in serious cases.
