Here’s how an advocate might respond: Thank you for sharing the details. Since the FIR was filed and the court has now summoned you as a witness, it is essential to attend and cooperate with the proceedings. Your presence is crucial for the case against your ex-boyfriend, as your testimony will play a key role in ensuring justice. The court's notice for cross-examination means both sides, including the defense, may question you regarding the incident. Please ensure that you review the details of the complaint you initially filed to maintain consistency in your statements. If you feel nervous or uncomfortable, let us know. I can guide you further on how to handle the cross-examination process calmly and confidently. Additionally, if you need any protection or feel unsafe, we can inform the court and police about your concerns so appropriate measures can be taken. Rest assured, I will assist you throughout this process. Attend the hearing as required, and if you have further doubts or need clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Dear client based on your question, Firstly no courts typically do not call individuals to inform them to appear .Instead, they issue an official summons or notices in writing, which are delivered to you personally or through authorized channels . For further guidance feel free to contact us .

Well then, you must go, if you have received a Summons from Court to appear before it to present your testimony during Evidence Stage, as without your testimony, accused cannot be convicted. Make sure, you remain confident while answering questions during Cross Examination.

The wheels of Justice moves slow, but it is always in motion. You should approach the Public Prosecutor to train you for your Chief and Cross and thereafter followup. You should also apply for a certified copy of the Court records to be aware of the offences registered and what has hapened thus far.
