BSES putting false allegation of electricity theft what can i do

26-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
We are paying my bses bills regularly since years. It hovers around 5000. Even this year I have paid 8000 bill as well. For the month of Novemberr bill was 2490, in October it was 8380, in September 5720. BSES personnel came to check reading some time in November and said electricity meter is faulty and they replaced it after that. Today(November 25, 2016) I received a letter from enforcement which says it's theft of electricity and called me for a meeting on December 05, 2016. I am feeling cheated and insulted with the allegation. Please help me to understand it well and to know my rights. Property and meter is in the name of my mother.

Share the image of the letter so that best possible advice can be given about your rights. If you are feeling cheated and insulted by the allegations then you can file a Defamation case against the enforcement.

For understanding your case you have to share your bills and notice that you have received from the Enforcement Department of BSES. Without seeing these it would be difficult to suggest you anything. So, i request you to kindly share the documents or feel free to visit my office for understanding and resolving the case.
