Advice Regarding A Criminal Case

Hi I am a NRI living abroad from last many years but holder of Indian passport, a criminal case was booked against me in the year 2022 under ipc section 504 and 506 in my absence from India,the issue was I actually sent a whatsapp voice message to the complainant and I told some bad words in voice message in anger as he was cheating with me, so he filed a complaint against me,the summons was served to me through whatsapp and now the status of case is EXAMINATION OF ACCUSED in the court.my question is how the case going to proceed in my absence in the country? and what will be the further process? Do I need to take any precautions or anything? Can a advocate be allowed or will be able to handle the matter without my presence as I live abroad? Please kindly provide the legitimate answer that will be really appreciated thank you

hi first need to see whether you had appointed an advocate to represent the matter and t need to see the contents of the chargesheet and if they are false then you could file quash petition in high court or you could give power of attorney to represent on behalf of you
