In this situation, the first woman who instigated or abetted the man to beat or abuse another woman can be booked under abetment and common intention laws along with other applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The relevant sections are: 1. Abetment (Section 107 IPC & Section 109 IPC) Section 107 IPC (Abetment of an Offense): If the first woman instigated the man to beat or abuse the other woman, she is guilty of abetment of the crime. Section 109 IPC (Punishment for Abetment): If the crime was committed due to her instigation, she will face the same punishment as the main accused (the man who committed the act). 2. Assault & Criminal Force (Section 323 IPC & Section 352 IPC) Section 323 IPC (Voluntarily Causing Hurt): If the victim suffered physical harm, the first woman can be charged under this section for her active role in causing the offense. Section 352 IPC (Assault or Criminal Force): If the victim was threatened or subjected to force, this section can be applied. 3. Criminal Intimidation (Section 506 IPC) If the first woman threatened the victim or used force to make her obey, Section 506 IPC (Criminal Intimidation) can be applied. 4. Common Intention (Section 34 IPC) If both the man and the first woman acted together with a shared intention, Section 34 IPC (Common Intention) can be added, making her equally responsible for the crime. Legal Consequences The first woman can be arrested and charged as per the role she played in the crime. If proven, she may receive the same punishment as the main accused. The victim can file an FIR mentioning both the man and the woman’s involvement. Would you like help in drafting a legal complaint for this case?
