Is it possible to squash 498case igfiled private complaint but chargesheet not prepared till
Some time police will take more time to file charge sheet. They may mention reason as investigation of fact taking more time. There are some instances where they have even taken 2years to file charge sheet. Contact me for more details

in general especially in 498a, courts are liberal in granting additional time to police to file charge sheet as police and courts are mandated to avoid the dissolution of marriage in first place. however, you can still approach high court and get your case quashed under 482 cr pc, if the complaint consists of probabilities and ponderences that do not exist

I suggest wait until filing of chargesheet. But, there is no bar in filing the quash petition u/s.482 of CR.P.C. at this stage. However, unless the private complaint copy is examined one cannot conclude whether there are any grounds for quashing the same.
