23 was subjected to child molestation can I drag these people to court

i am 23 years old. i was subjected to molestation when i was a child. can i drag those people to court, or expect any justice for me. it is hard for me to just sit back and do nothing when a potential criminal is out.

Protection of Children from Sexual Offense Act provides law to protect child from any abuse. If anyone had tried to molest you as a child, then a complaint againstbthem can be lodged and an FIR can be registered against the accused under POSCO Act. And further after that the person who molasted you will be punished by the court of law.

After so many years it might not be possible to prove the offence committed upon because the evidence you lead might not capable to prove the real offence they have committed but you may sue him after so many years

Ofcourse yes you can always move a complaint with the police against those person(s). But it would not be easy for you to prove your case as it seems that it's been a long time to your unfortunate incident. consult your legal adviser before filing a complaint so as to get a brief of the procedures involved.
