Received legal notice from my previous organization for joining Client

I have received legal notice from my previous organization for joining client .
I joined Client company after , client company broke their ties with my previous organization.
But after working for 3 months i have received legal notice from them stating that i need to resign from my current company and pay a hefty sum of 2 crores .Need guidance and opinions.

The agreement might have non-solicitation clause which would be applicable upon the client (your current employer) or a non-compete clause which would be applicable upon you. hello client as you are saying tht your previous company have issued you a show cause notice claimming tht as you have joined the client company in this matter you have to pay him a hefty compensation of rupees 2 crore. as you previous company have issues you a notice in the sense if joing client company in tht case id uou leave your current job then also notice will stand aginst you in tht case there is no use of leaving the job. the matter of notice can be get sorted out with the help of court proceeding tht is possible but for tht matter we need to go through you case documentation then we are able to help you in a better way. then i think there will not be the need to pay rupess 2 crore damages as well.
