Dear Client,
it's your responsibility to inform the employer before leaving the organisation.
You can reply to their email or else take help of advocate to reply to the company, informing then about all the medical issues suffered at your end.

The option with the company to recover the amount, is to file recovery Suit against you.
Due to paucity of documents and details of both sides, no precise advice can be provided.

Kind request to share details of job, nature of work, etc. So as to provide detailed advice.

Well, in order to solve your query, I have to go through your Employment Contract. And as such, if there is no express mention about liability clause or Indemnity clause, in case, if you would leave the company suddenly causing them huge financial loss and other burdens, then you are safe.

Moreover, in your cases, even if such clauses are present in your Employment Contract, then too, they cannot claim compensation from you & create any financial burden upon you as such. This is mainly because, your's was a genuine concern to leave the organisation/company for time being & as such, you have informed to the concerned authorities in advance. You can take a legal action against them.
