Executor's legal role in NRI'S company assets since NRI passed away
15-Jan-2023 (In Corporate Law)
My NRE friend has passed away leaving assetes in India. Mostly company shares and naming me executor in his USA will. How can I proceed to probate the same and dermatology the securities for sale. He was Sikh and I am NRE too but currently in India for a short time.
Dear Client,
Any kind of will has to be approved by appropriate Court of law via Probate Petition.
If no objection is raised by any other party, Court will pass award in your name and after that award, you can appear before the concern authority for getting the assets transferred on your name.

You need to get a probate executed in your favour through a court for you to exercise powers as an executor of the will of the deceased. Need more details on the contents of the will to advice further
