Privacy infringed by IDEA for recovery for their unpaid bill

23-Apr-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)

Customer of Idea Mobile for past 10 years. In the past few days i was unable to pay my bills. I have 2 idea plans, one personal and one corporate. I have provided my alternate number to idea as well, but for recovery of money, they infringed my privacy by asking for money by calling my last dialled number that happens to be the Vice President of my company. Can i take any action against idea for infringing privacy?

The network operator cannot take such steps to recover the outstanding amount. You can file a police complaint for the harassment by the network operator. The network operator can only take legal course to recover the outstanding bill amount.
