MTS Postpaid Bill - Lok Adalat case how to defend myself

23-May-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Hi, I have requested MTS customer care executive to cancel my postpaid bill and they asked me to pay a amount for next 3/4 days which will be time taken to deactivate the service. However now am receiving messages asking to pay 212 and if not legal action will be taken. I enquired their customer care and they told like time taken will be 7 days and need to pay this. However while calling for disconnecting request, they told 3/4 days and asked to pay a amount which i already paid. Can I defend myself in this legal action.

If you have not paid the bill . You should reply and pay the bill as soon as possible .

Or wise the general parctise by most companies is they purposely let your cheque bounce

( which most of the customers give as security as cross cheque while talking a connection )

The company forwards if to their lawyers and file case against the customer/s who has failed to paid the bill .

Note : this vouches a criminal offence u/s 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. For which Punsihment is Double the Cheque Amoumt and 2 years in Jail

& if The lawyer/s of the company are smart they would invoke sec 420 OF Indian Penal code as well . Punishment is upto 7 years in Jail.
