I wanted to understand what are the right for a consumer if he receives a consumer durable with manufacturing defect and seller doesn't have service center in the city where the product has been deliveredAlso, seller is forcing consumer to bear the shipping cost. The seller has mentioned this term in the customer support section of its website but buyer has not signed or agreed to this terms. Neither it is mentioned in the invoice nor it was communicated at the time of purchaseSo, in this case what are the rights of a buyer?
If a product suffers from manufacturing defect, a consumer has the right to file a consumer case against the product seller and the manufacturer. Consumer has the right to get the product replaced or ask for refund along with compensation. We need to see what were the terms and conditions for the said product.
