I have a query related to consumer dispute related to unfair trade practice by a service provider. If the cause of action arose in July of 2020, then can we file consumer complaint in 2023 in view of Supreme Court's order wherein the period from 15th March 2020 to 28th February 2022 shall stand excluded for the purposes of limitation as may be prescribed under any general or special laws in respect of all judicial or quasi-judicial proceeding.nCan consumer complaint be filed in 2023?
yes you can file a consumer complaint now ...the limitation period is 2 years but the period between March 15 to may 31, 2022 shall stand excluded and therefore you still have a year of time to file but you shouldn't delay
