Huge amount of postpaid bill after closing the connection

I used vodafone postpaid sim before few months,its monthly payment is Rs.600 only but every month they charge me more than Rs.700,so i closed the connection after registering the complaint.But now they sent a mail for bill amount Rs.1500 something.What shall i do now?Do i nedd to pay it?
