How can i recover the money back from the Builder?

i booked 2 flats in a society. the builder assured us that the flats would be ready and the possession would be given to us in the time period given to us. but till date nor the possession was given nor the builder has started the work. how can we recover the money back from him as we dont know when the possession would be given to us. can we apply for compensation as well?

It is purely consumer case. It comes under consumer forum jurisdiction. First you issue legal notice thru., an advocate claiming refund of money with an interest and compensation for not rendering the better service. IN your case builder has not fulfilled his promise so it amounts to deficiency in service.
