Exorbitant bill for using global data roaming unknowingly how to claim

15-Mar-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I am an airtel subscriber, I was in UK, and my data roaming was on, I was using Internet thinking I was connected to my hotel WiFi. I got a shock when I got a bill in excess of 1lac for using 238mb data. My credit limit on bill is 17000, and there were no messages or calls from airtel or local service provider to warn me that my credit limit had been crossed. I only got one sms from airtel when my bill had crossed 1lac.I've written to airtel, then nodal and last appellate authority who say charges are valid. I feel I've been cheated, can I fight this in consumer court?

You can write to the service provider for your complaint. If they do not take any steps then you can file a complaint in consumer forum for remedy.

You can file a case for party in person or through Advocate.
