Yes, you may have a valid cause of action before the Consumer Commission if the facts are as stated. If the authorized service centre has expressly certified that there is no physical damage and no liquid damage, yet the warranty claim was rejected without a valid technical basis, such rejection may amount to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. Further, if BIG C representatives used abusive or inappropriate language while addressing your grievance, that conduct can also be placed on record as evidence of harassment and mental agony. Immediately preserve all documents, including the purchase invoice, warranty documents, job sheet, service centre report, emails, call recordings (if legally available), complaint references, and all communications with Apple and BIG C. Issue a detailed legal notice to both Apple and BIG C seeking repair/replacement/refund, along with compensation for mental agony and litigation costs. If the grievance remains unresolved, you may initiate proceedings before the competent Consumer Commission seeking appropriate reliefs, including replacement of the handset, refund, compensation, and costs. The service provider cannot arbitrarily deny a valid warranty claim, particularly when its own authorized records do not indicate any customer-induced damage.

Yes, you may file a consumer complaint if the iPhone developed an internal defect during the warranty period and the authorized service centre's report confirms that there was no physical or liquid damage. If Apple or its authorized service provider refused warranty service without valid technical reasons, it may amount to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Preserve all documents including the purchase invoice, warranty details, job sheet, service centre report, emails, and call records. Before filing a consumer case, issue a legal notice to Apple India, the authorized service centre, and Big C seeking repair, replacement, refund, and compensation. If Big C representatives used abusive language, preserve call recordings or other evidence, as this may strengthen your claim for compensation for mental harassment. If the dispute is not resolved after notice, you can approach the appropriate Consumer Commission seeking suitable reliefs and compensation.

Yes, you may file a consumer complaint if you have a service report showing that the device suffered from an internal defect and there was no physical or liquid damage, yet warranty service was denied without valid justification. Such conduct may amount to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. Preserve the purchase invoice, warranty details, service centre report, emails, and call records. However, success will depend on the reasons given for denying warranty and the evidence available to establish that the defect is covered under the warranty terms.
