If nominee is there, nominee would be entitled. If no nominee, then any of the legal heir (with no objection of other legal heirs) can get the succession certificate from the Court regarding the assets in demat a/c. ( provided the demat a/c holder died intestate i.e. without leaving any WILL).

Dear Sir, perused your query in details. It may be noted that "nominee" is a person who takes care of the estate of the deceased, but the original claimant would be the legal heir. However, you need to take out a succession certificate from the competent court of law. Please contact for more details.
