Person took money from me and refusingo pay back now saying he lost it

Person took my money year back saying he will give monthly returns, and will return my investment whenever I want. 2 months he paid interest, but after that he stopped paying. From last 10 months he had not paid any interest and now he is not even returning my capital and saying he lost my capital while reading. What to do ? I am from visakhapatnam and that man stays in Delhi. I have entire bank transfer proof, WhatsApp conversation of agreement, his aadhar card copy and address. What to do ?

You will have to file a suit for recovery/ summary suit, depending upon the nature of the transaction between you too. Do you have any contract? or any cheques to secure money? Even otherwise the suit is maintainable on the basis of whats app chats and bank statements.

Hi, You shall send him a legal cum demand notice asking him to refund your money or else he shall be prosecuted under the provisions of law. The legal notice shall compel him to refund the money within a period of 10 days Feel free to to contact Regards Madhav Nanda

Query perused. I would advise you to send a legal notice thru an advocate seeking repayment of the loan amount tendered giving 7 days time. Thereafter a suit for recovery along with interest will be filed before the concerned Court at Delhi. For further consultancy and legal services you may contact us.

sir, you have both civil and criminal remedies against the person. you can exercise either or both of them. the case will be a summary suit for recovery of money and the process is not too long, the name is self-explanatory.
