Period within which HC can give stay on trial court's order

What is the period for which HC may give a stay order on trial court's decision ? Is the complainant due to receive a copy ? It there any free legal advice cell at Kolkata ?

High court may stay the trial court order as per the merit of the case and no one can predicate the period , it is totally depend upon the judge who will hear the application . Yes the complainant is entitled to receive copy of the order. High court is having cell of legal advice for needy people , get in touch with the office of the registrar of high court in this regard.

Sir, it depends on the court for how long it can stay the order of the trial court. There is no specific law for that and it is solely based on the own decision of the court.
