Immediately Pay the outstanding challan online . visit the traffic police station with all proofs of payments you have done online . Clear any additional procedure if pending. Retrieve your RC . Consultant a lawyer if necessary. Do not delay father. Do not ignore the possibility of consulting a lawyer. facing the process now is far better than the consequences of further in action .

Yes, you can still resolve the issue by appearing before the concerned Traffic Court, paying the fine, and requesting the release of your RC. Since a year has passed, the court may impose a penalty or issue a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) if ignored further, so it’s better to act quickly. I can help you with verifying the case status, drafting a petition to cancel any warrant (if issued), and guide you through the court appearance and recovery of your RC smoothly. Please approach me directly so I can assist you with the legal steps without delay.

Yes, you can still rectify the situation. Visit the concerned court where the challan was issued and appear before the magistrate. The court may impose a fine or, in rare cases, a minor penalty, after which the matter can be closed. Once the penalty is cleared, obtain a clearance order and submit it to the police station to retrieve your RC. Delay may result in higher penalties, but resolving the issue voluntarily shows good intent and may reduce complications. It is advisable to consult a local lawyer to assist in court proceedings to ensure a smoother process.

A drunk-and-drive challan can be a serious offence in India. If the challan is showing a zero amount, it could mean the matter is pending before the court and the fine has not yet been imposed. You should check the challan status on the Parivahan or e-courts portal or else visit the concerned authority in person. Ignoring it may lead to summons, licence suspension, or increased penalties. It is advisable to resolve it at the earliest.
