23-Nov-2023 (In Civil Law)
My question is the owner of my shop has filed a case against us saying that his children does not have any other place for business so he wants us to leave the shop but we have been on rent for 40 years. This is the 3rd owner of the shop and he became owner in the year 1996 but are on rent long back. He already have other properties and his children are also well settled . Nearby my shop he also has a plot where he recently given on rent so i just want whether the the new renter can get a stay notice .

You need to file application for injunction and yes stay on eviction is possible till the adjudication of the suit in question. You need to corroborate all the evidences to satisfy the court about your stand.
