No action being taken on Electricity Theft complaint by BSES
11-May-2023 (In Civil Law)
Sir/ Madam,
I live in a residential builder floor on a notified commercial road. Some offices are being operated from our building without converting the user from residential to commercial. The aggrieved residents filed numerous complaints with DJB, MCD, DDA, etc. but no action has been taken by them.
Recently we filed a few complaints with BSES against the Electricity Theft being done by these offices in the form of Unauthorised Use of Electricity. But, BSES officials have filed false and fabricated replies that their executive visited the property and found no such unauthorised use of electricity and disposed all the complaints as vexatious and frivolous. When the residents escalated the issue, we are being told that the sole authority on this issue lies with BSES and they have no intention of taking any action against the violators.
What is a legal remedy against this? How can we stop these offices from stealing electricity and get them sealed.
hello client as i can see your issues is really very serious in nature as well as very much capable of been getting offices as well as building to get sealed on the evidences of electricity threft in this matter we need to move leagl so tht we can get the things in propee channel .

First of all you need to send a legal notice to the BSES people and also to the defaulter neighbours regarding your grievances. If there’s no reply from the other party then you can always approach the court under 156(3) to register a FIR against the culprits. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

in your case you can collect the proof in form of photographs or video and then you can file the case in the court of law by attaching your proof as well as there false and frivolous reply either the district Court for injuction or a writ in high court ....
