Name correction required or an affidavit will suffice . Please help

22-Aug-2025 (In Civil Law)
In all my educational documents like 10th (2016 ) and 12th and graduation etc my father's name is mohd Khalid Ansari but in my adhar or pan or voter id it's just Khalid Ansari ? Will this create an issue in further admissions / studies in universities? Or will a simple affidavit solve this issue ?

You have to correct adhar details as per your education certificate It will be create future problems without any correction in legal documents So its advised to take action in adhar card not in educational certificate If correct name of your father is in educational certificate

where there are minute issues like this with names, it is required to deal with them urgently otherwise this issue can create various complications. mere affidavit would not suffice, but you need to get it corrected with the UIDAI and INCOME TAX departments by presenting unimpeachable proof for the same. you will need a signed affidavit, then you will need to publish the information in a local newspaper, after that you will have to get it published in the state gazzette. After that apply for the corrections. Contact your Advocate and he will advise you accordingly.

Yes, this is a very big problem and you should not take it lightly. The mismatch in your father’s name – “Mohd. Khalid Ansari” in educational documents vs. “Khalid Ansari” in Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID – can create serious hurdles at multiple stages: University Admissions & Higher Studies – Authorities may reject your application for discrepancy in parental details. Government Exams / Jobs – Even a minor mismatch in name is enough for disqualification during verification. Passport & Visa – These documents are cross-verified, and mismatch leads to delay or outright rejection. Court or Legal Proceedings – Any affidavit or verification involving your father’s name may be challenged. A simple affidavit alone is not always sufficient, because different institutions have different compliance rules. In many cases, you may need: Name Clarification Affidavit – Declaring both versions refer to the same person. Publication in Gazette / Newspaper – To officially validate the variation. Corrections / Endorsements in Records – In Aadhaar, PAN, or in education records, depending on future requirement. I regularly handle such cases and, with my online tools and High Court mechanism, I can initiate the rectification process from home itself, ensuring it is legally valid everywhere and you never face rejection due to this issue.
