My tenant is denying to vacate the flat.

My tenant is denying to vacate the flat and I have given a application in police station as well. However police has adviced to disconnect the electricity .Please guide whether it is the right way /legal way ?

no this is not a proper way and police have no right to take cognizance in it doing such activities may give them chance to get temporary injunction you have to file a eviction suit agains them on the basis of arear of rent or Bonafide requirements

In the given facts and circumstances. You can sent a notice to the tenant regarding the eviction. To do first you have to file an eviction notice in a court stating why you want the tenant to vacate the property.
if the above stated remedy doesn't works out. and the tenant is still not ready to vacate the property . you should file an eviction plaint in the civil court with a help of professional lawyer.
