Mental Harassment Based on False Accusation by Boyfriend

I was in a relationship and my boyfriend proposed to me for marriage. We became intimate too. He then wanted to break up with me by accusing me having an incestous relationship with my father, which is completely false. I underwent a lot of mental torture because I was trying to tell him the truth, but he was highly convinced I was into incest. He finally broke up with me and blocked me everywhere on phone and social media. He even denied any promise of marriage. This has caused a lot of mental stress for me and my family. I am suffering for no fault of mine. I really loved him, but he did something unforgivable to me. Can I file an FIR?
You can file complaint of defamation either in civil or criminal way.

Yes, you can lodge a FIR against him for commiting Rape under the pretext of promising to marry you. Your Consent for indulging with him in Sex was based on this sole condition that he would fulfill his promise on his part to marry you, as he broke his promise, now it is time for you to break promise on your part to maintain peace within you for him & as such, by lodging a Criminal Case against him, you'll break your such promise of keeping peace & harmonious relationship with him, but such condition you were performing best on your part, however, as he left you by wrongly blaming you without any proof, he needs to be punished. This needs to be your legal stand if above-mentioned consent for sex was solicited from you on the promise of marriage.
